Next week, more than 1,000 riders are expected to turn out for the Big Bike Riders Children’s Foundation’s fifth annual Celebration of Smiles Ride 4 Kids. The money raised at this charity ride will be donated to the local Broward Health Chris Evert Children’s Hospital in Broward County, Florida.
“In 2011, the ‘Celebration of Smiles’ Ride 4 Kids charity ride raised much needed funds for the renovation and expansion of Chris Evert Children’s Hospital right here in Fort Lauderdale,” said Ronnie Catronio, the chairman and executive director of Big Bike Riders Children’s Foundation. “Bikers from all over the country come to the sun and fun capital of the world to enjoy our great biker weather and beautiful scenery and we hope to see bikers from all around the state riding in the 2012 ‘Celebration of Smiles’ Charity Ride 4 Kids.”
On March 4, riders will strap on motorcycle helmets, climb on their street bikes and cruiser motorcycles and set off on a 55-mile ride through Broward County. Those who aren’t riding can enjoy live music, visit vendor booths selling motorcycle accessories and other goods, and check out stunt performances.
