Motorcycle Maniac: 2013 MV Agusta Brutale 675 – An Entry-Level Ride Built For Speed

2013 MV Agusta Brutale 675 - Red

MV Agusta introduced the Brutale 675 to its lineup in an effort to regain some steam and popularity in the motorsports community.

Last year, MV Agusta introduced the Brutale 675 to its lineup in an effort to regain some steam and popularity in the motorsports community. The sporty bike was designed to compete with the likes of the Kawasaki Z750, Ducati Monster 1100, Suzuki GSR750 and other rides in the middleweight class. It’s also the most affordable bike in the Brutale family, making it appealing to fans of the Italian motorcycle company who may not be able to purchase the more expensive models.

The Brutale 675 is based on the F3, so it should come as no surprise that the “naked” street bike features the same three-cylinder engine as the supersport bike. This engine is nothing to laugh at, as it produces an impressive 108.5 horsepower, and this sheer strength can be felt throughout the whole rev range. So, you can tear out of the parking lot, down the street and onto the highway without ever losing an ounce of oomph. Now, if only you could forego those pesky speed limits.

Rules of the road aside, this bike is built to handle nearly any driving conditions you can throw at it. MV Augusta gave this Brutale motorcycle accessories that came straight from MotoGP, including the Motor and Vehicle Integrated Control System (MVICS). This system allows easy access to Full Ride by Wire throttle control as well as engine mapping and traction control. There are eight different levels of adjustment for traction control, so you can ensure the conditions are ideal no matter where you’re riding. The only thing missing from the 2010 models are ABS brakes, but you can always install this motorcycle gear after buying the bike if you want.

With its muscular design and bare-bones body, the 675 definitely looks like a member of the Brutale family. The discrete triple-exhaust is a fun feature that sets the bike apart from its older brothers and pretty much every other bike on the road. The motorcycle is also designed to be compact and lightweight, but it is surprisingly comfortable even for larger riders. The body is rather narrow for its class, making it easy for riders to rest their feet on the ground when they come to a stop. If nothing else, this production supersport motorcycle is eye-catching, helping you stand out as you race ahead of the pack.
